Book & Row

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-09-17

These terms set out the rules for using Book & Row - a management system for rowing clubs, available in a browser at bookandrow.com. The service is operated by Softeo Aleksander Rakucki, Polish tax ID (NIP) 5242947071, a sole trader registered in the Polish business register (CEIDG). Correspondence address: ul. Laurowa 35/5, 03-197 Warszawa.

§ 1. What these terms cover

Book & Row is used to run a rowing club: organising training, keeping a record of equipment and communicating inside the club.

The contract for the service is concluded with the club as an organisation. Its members create accounts from an invitation and use the service under that contract.

How personal data is handled is described separately in the Privacy Policy.

§ 2. Setting up the club and accounts

We set a club up after getting in touch and agreeing the details. Access is handed to the person who will manage it.

Everyone else joins the club at the manager’s invitation and creates their account themselves.

An account is personal. Login details and passwords must not be shared with anyone, including inside the club.

Where the account holder is a minor, obtaining the consent of a legal guardian is the club’s responsibility.

The manager is responsible for who is invited to the club, which roles are granted, and for keeping the membership list up to date.

§ 3. Rules of use

The service is there to run a club. When using it, you must not:

  • enter other people’s data without a legal basis or without the consent required;
  • try to get around security measures, access controls or the boundaries between clubs;
  • collect data automatically or load the service beyond ordinary use;
  • post unlawful or abusive content, or content that infringes someone else’s rights.

Whoever entered content into the service is responsible for it.

If these rules are broken we may suspend an account or a club. We give notice first, unless waiting would cause further harm.

§ 4. Fees

Financial terms are agreed individually with each club before access is opened.

§ 5. Availability

We work to keep the service running without interruption, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance breaks may happen.

The service keeps being developed, so the range of features may change.

We take care to protect data against loss. That does not relieve the club of caution with data it particularly cares about.

§ 6. Liability

Book & Row is a record-keeping tool. It does not replace a coach’s judgement, an assessment of conditions on the water, or a check of the equipment before going out. Responsibility for the safety of a session stays with the club and the people running it.

§ 7. Ending the contract and deleting data

A club may leave at any time, with no notice period - a message to the contact address is enough.

A member may delete their own account. If they belong to several clubs, deleting the account ends their membership in all of them.

After the contract ends we delete the club’s data without undue delay. It disappears from backups as they are overwritten.

We may end the contract with 30 days’ notice, or with immediate effect in case of a serious breach of these terms.

§ 8. Changes to these terms

We give notice of changes to these terms at least 14 days in advance.

Using the service after a change takes effect means accepting it. A club that does not accept the change may leave in the meantime.

§ 9. Complaints and governing law

Complaints go to hello@softeo.dev. We reply within 14 days.

The contract is governed by Polish law. Disputes are settled by the court with jurisdiction over the operator’s address given above.
